Question 1

Which electric cars does Volvo sell new in Italy?

Accepted Answer

The compact EX30, the EX40, the EX60 and the seven-seat EX90 SUVs, plus the ES90 saloon. Most come with a single motor or as more powerful twin-motor all-wheel-drive versions.

Question 2

How do the new Volvo trims differ?

Accepted Answer

Volvo's trims step up from Essential and Core to Plus and Ultra, adding comfort, audio and driver-assistance equipment. Black Edition versions add dark exterior details on several models.

Question 3

Do new Volvo plug-in hybrids pay the superbollo?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The T6 and T8 plug-ins of the V60, XC60 and XC90 all exceed 185 kW, so they pay €20 a year for each kW above that threshold on top of the bollo. The B3, B4 and B5 mild hybrids stay below it.

Question 4

Do new electric Volvos pay the bollo in Italy?

Accepted Answer

In most regions an electric car pays no bollo for its first five years, then a quarter of the rate. Lombardy and Piedmont exempt electric cars for good.
