Question 1

Which hybrid Volvo models are sold new in Italy?

Accepted Answer

The plug-in hybrids are the V60 T6 with 335 hp, the XC60 T6 with 357 hp and T8 with 461 hp, and the XC90 T8 with 461 hp. The B3, B4 and B5 mild hybrids are listed with the petrol cars.

Question 2

What is the difference between the Volvo T6 and T8 plug-in hybrids?

Accepted Answer

Both pair a petrol engine with a rear electric motor for all-wheel drive, and the T8 is the more powerful. The Long Range versions of the XC60 and XC90 carry a larger battery than the V60 T6, for more driving on electricity.

Question 3

Does a new Volvo plug-in hybrid pay the superbollo?

Accepted Answer

Yes, every one does: each is above 185 kW, so it pays €20 a year for each kW over that threshold, in full for the first five years. The bollo itself follows the owner's region, and some regions charge hybrids a flat rate per kW.

Question 4

Is a new Volvo XC60 plug-in hybrid better than a used one?

Accepted Answer

A new one carries the factory warranty and a battery with no history. A used one costs less; ask how it was charged and have a Volvo dealer check the battery's health.
