Question 1

Which used Nissan Qashqai generation should I buy?

Accepted Answer

The first, from 2007, is the cheapest; the second, from 2014, offers 1.2 and 1.3 turbo petrol and 1.5 and 1.6 diesel engines. The third, from 2021, is mild hybrid or e-Power only, with no diesel.

Question 2

What should I check on a used Nissan Leaf battery?

Accepted Answer

The Leaf's battery has no active cooling, so check its health on the dashboard bars or with a diagnostic report, especially on cars used in hot summers. The 2018 generation has a larger battery than the first.

Question 3

Is the Nissan 1.5 dCi diesel reliable?

Accepted Answer

The 1.5 dCi, shared with Renault and Dacia, is economical and widespread, so parts are cheap. Ask about the injectors and, on versions with a particulate filter, whether the car was driven only in town.

Question 4

How much does a new Nissan cost in Italy?

Accepted Answer

The new range, from the electric Micra and Leaf to the Juke, Qashqai, X-Trail and Townstar, appears at Nissan's list prices beside the used cars. The Qashqai and X-Trail also come with e-Power, where an electric motor drives the wheels.
