Question 1

Is the Nissan 1.5 dCi engine reliable?

Accepted Answer

Generally yes: the 1.5 dCi, Renault's K9K, is economical and well known to garages, and its parts cost little. On high-mileage cars, check the injectors, the turbo and, on later versions, the particulate filter.

Question 2

Can a diesel Nissan Qashqai enter Milan's Area B?

Accepted Answer

It depends on its Euro class, shown on the Documento Unico: Area B bars older diesels on a calendar that widens to newer ones over the years. Check the City of Milan's current rules before buying.

Question 3

Which diesel Nissan X-Trail is best used?

Accepted Answer

The third generation, from 2014, used the 1.6 dCi and then, from 2019, the 1.7 dCi, with All Mode 4x4-i four-wheel drive on some versions. The older second generation, up to 2014, used a 2.0 dCi.

Question 4

What should I check on a used Nissan Navara diesel?
