Question 1

Which engines does the manual Opel Corsa come with?

Accepted Answer

The Corsa D and E were sold with the 1.2 and 1.4 petrol, factory LPG versions of both and the 1.3 CDTI diesel, and the E added the 1.0 Turbo three-cylinder. The Corsa F has the 1.2 PureTech petrol at 75 or 100 hp and the 1.5 diesel.

Question 2

Does the Opel Corsa F share its manual gearbox with the Peugeot 208?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the Corsa F is built on the same Stellantis platform as the second Peugeot 208 and uses the same engines and gearboxes. Parts and specialist knowledge are therefore easy to find.

Question 3

Is a manual Opel Corsa a good car for a new driver in Italy?

Accepted Answer

Often yes, because the 1.2 and 1.4 petrol and the 75 and 100 hp PureTech are modest in power. Italian neopatentati face a power-to-weight limit, so check the kW and mass on the Documento Unico before buying.

Question 4

Can you still buy a new Opel Corsa with a manual gearbox?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the new Corsa keeps a manual with the 1.2 petrol of 100 hp, in Yes, Edition, GS and Ultimate trims. The hybrid versions come only with an automatic.
