Question 1

What problems does the Opel Corsa 1.2 PureTech have?

Accepted Answer

On the turbocharged 100 and 130 hp versions, the timing belt runs in oil and can wear early, shedding fragments that block the oil pick-up. Ask whether the belt has been checked or replaced and the specified oil used.

Question 2

Opel Corsa E 1.0 Turbo or 1.4: which petrol engine is better?

Accepted Answer

The 1.0 Turbo, a three-cylinder with direct injection and 90 or 115 hp, pulls harder at low revs and on the motorway. The naturally aspirated 1.4 is simpler, with no turbo to look after.

Question 3

Does an Opel Corsa Hybrid pay less bollo in Italy?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the owner's region. In most regions a hybrid pays one flat rate per kW whatever its Euro class, and some, such as Piedmont, halve the bollo for five years on hybrids of up to 100 kW registered new from 2025.

Question 4

What petrol engines does the new Opel Corsa have?

Accepted Answer

The new Corsa is sold with a 1.2 petrol of 100 hp and a manual gearbox, or as the Corsa Hybrid of 110 or 145 hp with an automatic. Trims run from Yes and Edition to GS and Ultimate.
