Question 1

What is the problem with the Peugeot 2008 1.2 PureTech?

Accepted Answer

Its timing belt runs in oil and can break down early, shedding debris that can block the oil pump strainer and, at worst, damage the engine. Ask for proof of belt checks or replacement, and treat a low oil pressure warning as serious.

Question 2

Which petrol Peugeot 2008 has an automatic gearbox?

Accepted Answer

The first generation offered the EAT6 six-speed automatic on turbocharged PureTech versions, the second the eight-speed EAT8 on the 130 and 155 cv. The mild hybrid always has the e-DCS6 dual-clutch.

Question 3

How much bollo does a petrol Peugeot 2008 pay?

Accepted Answer

The bollo follows the car's kW and Euro class at the rate of the owner's region, so the same car pays differently across Italy. No petrol 2008 comes near the 185 kW superbollo threshold.

Question 4

What petrol versions does the new Peugeot 2008 have?

Accepted Answer

The new 2008 petrol range is the Turbo 100 with a manual gearbox and the Hybrid of 110 or 145 cv with the e-DCS6 automatic. Trims run from Style and Allure up to GT and GT Exclusive on the Hybrid 145.
