Question 1

Can a used Peugeot diesel enter Milan's Area B?

Accepted Answer

Only if its Euro class is still allowed: Area B bars diesels by Euro class on a calendar that reaches newer ones over the years. Check field V.9 of the Documento Unico against the City of Milan's current rules, or choose a petrol, hybrid or electric Peugeot.

Question 2

How much is the bollo on a used Peugeot in Lombardy?

Accepted Answer

Lombardy charges the national base, €2.58 per kW up to 100 kW for Euro 4 to 6, so a Euro 6 Peugeot of 96 kW pays about €248 a year. Paying by bank direct debit takes 15% off.

Question 3

Do hybrid Peugeots pay less bollo in Lombardy?

Accepted Answer

Hybrids pay a flat €2.58 per kW whatever their Euro class, and electric Peugeots nothing at all. A hybrid with up to 100 kW of combustion power, first registered new from 2026, also gets 50% off for a period set by its CO₂.

Question 4

How much IPT do you pay on a used Peugeot in Milan?

Accepted Answer

The province of Milan applies the maximum 30% surcharge, so a 96 kW Peugeot pays about €438, plus about €101 of fees. Selling your old car to a dealer, the minivoltura, pays no IPT.
