Question 1

Which is the best engine for a used SEAT Arona?

Accepted Answer

The 1.0 TSI with 110 or 115 hp suits most drivers and is the easiest to find. The 150 hp 1.5 TSI, usually on the FR, is quicker, while the 1.6 TDI only pays off at high mileage.

Question 2

Is a used SEAT Arona TGI on methane worth buying?

Accepted Answer

It is for drivers with a methane station on their route, as the fuel costs less per kilometre than petrol. Check the gas cylinders' expiry date on the Documento Unico.

Question 3

What should I check on a used SEAT Arona with DSG?

Accepted Answer

The seven-speed DSG on the 1.0 and 1.5 TSI is a dry-clutch unit, so test it cold in slow traffic and when parking. Judder or jerks pulling away can point to the clutch pack or the mechatronic unit.

Question 4

How much does a new SEAT Arona cost?

Accepted Answer

The new Arona is sold only with petrol engines, the 1.0 EcoTSI with 95 or 115 hp and the 1.5 TSI with 150 hp, manual or DSG, in Style, FR and Black Edition trims. Each version is at SEAT's list price beside the used cars.
