Question 1

How much is the bollo on a used car in Umbria?

Accepted Answer

Umbria applies the national base rates on kW and Euro class: €2.58 per kW up to 100 kW and €3.87 above for a Euro 4 to 6 car. A car over 30 years old driven on public roads pays a flat €25.82 instead.

Question 2

Do hybrid cars pay the bollo in Umbria?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Umbria's hybrid exemptions have all expired, so a hybrid pays from its first year, at a flat €2.58 per kW like other dual-fuel and alternative-fuel cars. An electric car follows the national rule: exempt for five years, then a quarter.

Question 3

How is IPT worked out on a used car bought in Terni?

Accepted Answer

IPT follows the buyer's province, not the seller's, and is charged on the car's kW: a flat €150.81 up to 53 kW, then €3.51 per kW on the whole power, plus the province's surcharge. About €101 of fees and stamp duty come on top.

Question 4

Where can a car have its revisione in the province of Terni?

Accepted Answer

At the Motorizzazione civile or at a garage authorised by the province, in Terni, Orvieto and the other main towns. The first is due four years after first registration, then every two years.
