Question 1

How practical is the Volkswagen T-Cross boot?

Accepted Answer

The rear bench slides forward and back, trading rear legroom for boot space, so the load floor grows when the back seats are pushed forward. With the backrests folded it takes bulky loads despite the short body.

Question 2

Is the Volkswagen T-Cross any good off-road or in snow?

Accepted Answer

It is front-wheel drive only, so it suits gravel and mountain roads rather than real off-roading. In winter, fit winter tyres or carry chains where Italian roads require them from 15 November to 15 April.

Question 3

What is the difference between the Volkswagen T-Cross and T-Roc?

Accepted Answer

The T-Cross is smaller, built on the Polo's platform, and only front-wheel drive. The T-Roc is longer, based on the Golf's platform, and was offered with 4Motion and more powerful engines.

Question 4

Should I buy a new or used Volkswagen T-Cross?

Accepted Answer

A new T-Cross has the 1.0 TSI at 95 or 115 hp, manual or DSG, the factory warranty and the 2024 update, in trims from Trend to R-Line Plus. A used one from 2019 shares the body and engine family for less.
