Question 1

Which used Volkswagen SUVs have four-wheel drive?

Accepted Answer

The Touareg always has 4Motion all-wheel drive, the T-Roc and Tiguan only on some versions, and the dual-motor ID.4 and ID.5 GTX drive all four wheels. The T-Cross and Taigo are front-wheel drive only.

Question 2

Does a used Volkswagen Tiguan pay the superbollo in Italy?

Accepted Answer

Only the Tiguan R, which has more than 185 kW, and the same goes for the T-Roc R. The usual petrol and diesel Tiguans stay well below that threshold and pay only the regional bollo.

Question 3

What should I check on a used Volkswagen SUV with a DSG gearbox?

Accepted Answer

Smaller petrol versions of the T-Cross, Taigo and T-Roc use the seven-speed dry-clutch DSG, which can judder when pulling away once worn. The more powerful versions use a wet-clutch DSG, which needs its oil changed on schedule.

Question 4

How much does a new Volkswagen SUV cost?

Accepted Answer

New Volkswagen SUVs run from the T-Cross and Taigo through the T-Roc and Tiguan to the larger Tayron and the electric ID. Cross, with petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric versions. Each one is shown at Volkswagen's list price beside the used cars.
